I have been here a couple of times for the Vietnamese coffee and donuts but first time having one of the banh mi sandwiches. Loved it! Got the grilled pork, the flavors were amazing and the bread they use is perfect for the sandwich. If it wasn't 100 degrees outside (no inside seating in case you have not been there yet) it would have been ideal. But they do a good job of putting up shade where they can and have fans moving to air to help out. Great food and the people who work there are always so nice.
I came here on a Sunday after finding it on Google randomly. I am so happy that I stopped and ate here, it is a gem. I got the pork sausage banh mi, shrimp chips, and a coffee. The customer service was excellent, they recommend the best dishes and were very kind. There is a large outside patio where you can sit and enjoy your meal. If you're by the Cedars area or anywhere close to downtown Dallas, come check out this place out!
Wow on point place- they sell out so you know that food is fresh. I really enjoyed the coffee with coconut cream and let me tell you the banh mi was so mouth watering. I’ve lived in houston for 4 years and there’s a huge Vietnamese community and food scene there but I have to say this is the best Vietnamese sandwich I’ve had in America ! I even saved half of it to bring back to my mom.
I got a chance to talk to the chef she was so down to earth and sweet and personable. Made my day!
This is such a neat place will have to come back soon. Highly recommend !!
. Super cute place and the vibe was laidback and homeyyy.
The place was so adorable and cozy with a very sweet lady as the cashier. She double checks that you have everything you need! It all makes you feel a sort of nostalgia, like you’re right at home. It has pride potted plants and a beautiful mural. Just a warning that the coffee is extremely strong with a milkshake texture and will leave you on a high and shaking if you’re not careful. My friend got the pork ban mi which was delicious and I got their chocolate bread.
1st time to visit. Super friendly employees and cute decor. All seating is outdoors so the hot Texas heat made it tough to get comfortable while eating our lunch. Pricing is such that our meal for 4 with appetizers and drinks quickly ran the tab to over $100 for lunch. The Nem Sausage Nuggets ($12.75) were tasty and good for sharing. The Fried Eggrolls ($9.75) were standard and a tad pricey. Recommend skipping these. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were delicious. Pay attention to the add-ons as a fried egg ($2.75) and fish sauce ($2.50) will run that bill up fast. The Coco Nam Sua Da ($6.25) was average though it was described and marketed beautifully. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and were glad to check this spot out. It's always a good thing to support passionate small business owners and their dreams!
Anytime I am in the area, I try to stop here and pick up something new and tasty! On this day, I decided on the pork Bahn mi sandwich. Linh suggested a few things and helped me pick out the best coffee for me 😊. This place has grown so much since my last visit! The decor, books, and puzzles are just a small part of what makes this place special. I need to come back and hang out to work on one of those puzzles!
Say man.. Get the Banh MI Xiu Mai.. That thing is a flavor bomb. Garlic Tomato sauce, jalapeños, cilantro, with these flavorful pork meatballs. The bread is flakey and soft like a Philly Hogie. These guys have the formula. Everything tasted super fresh. Only complaint is it's $17 bucks a sandwich but everything is expensive now.
Friendly and warm staff with a hospitable atmosphere for morning chats and book reading, and don't forget to check out the wall art. My only gripe is paying $12-14 for banh mi, even thought it was well made and fresh.
